One of my traditions at Christmas is sending out cards. Call me old fashioned, but I still like to do it! Handmade cards are even more special, but I get that making one for everyone on your list can be time consuming. But if you would like to send handmade cards at Christmas, this easy project with Silhouette will do the trick while saving you a bunch of time.
I created a Christmas village in Silhouette, and am offering it today as a free SVG! The design is simple, but with the addition of the snowflakes, it’s simply festive! To make the cards, you’ll need:
1. Download this SVG file. I’ve sized it to fit edge-to-edge on a 5.5″ wide card. You can adjust the size if need be. Add the sticker paper to the cutting mat, and cut to the correct settings. Then, stick the village onto the front of the card.
2. Add little snowflakes by punching the shape on the sticker paper, then placing them randomly on the card.
By choosing the neon bright cards makes the village stand out more and that’s what I was going for. I purchased my set from the hot buy section at Michaels.
I also really like the sticker paper for this project because it’s thinner than card stock, and there’s no gluing needed!
If you don’t have a Silhouette CAMEO and would like to take on projects like this, Amazon is offering the latest CAMEO 3 as starter bundle at a great price right now. It includes the machine, two cutting mats and blades, sketch pens, and free cut files from the Silhouette store for a whole month!
Thanks all for taking a look today. I hope you enjoyed this post!
