Guys! I am just so pumped to share my latest secret way to easily restyle and change up the look of your fireplace tile surround. Wallpaper!!! You may remember that I painted the tile on my fireplace surround this summer with a palm leaf print, and while I love the palm leaf and didn’t want to paint over it, it didn’t really wouldn’t translate well to fall, Halloween, or Christmas. So to give my fireplace a quick makeover for the fall and winter season, I turned to my new favorite home decor item, adhesive woven wallpaper from Spoonflower! I was able to use one of my own designs to make a tile look alike pattern that is just perfect for Halloween.

Isn’t it amazing?! And it looks so much like tile! The best part? It took less than an hour to install! And since it is such a small space, I was able to wall paper all the tile with less than one roll. I can guarantee you will be seeing this space get made over for every season now.
The process is pretty straight forward too, just cut the wall paper to size using a utility knife  and then peel back a portion of the paper backing and press it onto your tile. Then use the included squeegee to gently rub the wallpaper into place and remove any air bubbles. Work your way down until it is all adhered. Then move on to the next piece. Repeat until your entire surround is complete.
And if you loved the rainbow pumpkin mantel I did for fall, you will love this Halloween version. The addition of the wallpaper, a few paper bats, and a few leftover googly eye balloons, gives this space a whole new look!
So, what do you think, will you try wallpapering your fireplace surround?

P.S. My design had a few flaws, so I am still working on a revision, but as soon as I get that done, this design will be up and available for you to purchase to use in your own home. But in the meantime, check out all the 1000’s of other designs available on Spoonflower
