I spent my kiddo and teen years in that weird and wonderful decade of the 1980s and find it absolutely hilarious that I’m now thrifting and refashioning those silky, semi-sheer dresses that I thought were so uncool at the time but were crazy popular with the voluminous-haired office ladies of the 80s.

Take a peek at my salute to 80’s officewear, help me decide how to transform this dress, snag my no sew 80’s refashions and vote for the upcoming themes for The 80s on #ThriftyThursday:

1980’s Dress (thrifted) $3 – Vintage Bag (inherited) $0 – Shoes (had for years) $0

Total outfit cost: $3

How should I transform this fabulously patterned frock? Make it into a blouse? Sleeveless mini dress? A groovy jumpsuit? (I love the neckline & pleated bodice but am not such a fan of the puffed sleeves & length)
